Farewell Tractor Shed. Hello Cotswolds!

Moving My Business to the Cotswolds

Hello my lovely furniture friends.

I hope life has been treating you well and that you've made the most of the summer we’ve had this year.

Lately, I’ve been spending more and more time in the beautiful Cotswolds, though I still make it back to Somerset now and then to catch up with friends and squeeze in a bit of work. But if I’m honest, the balance is tipping towards the Cotswolds. Life is never boring, and it's always a challenge to fit everything in—family, friends, work, and a bit of pleasure too.

Speaking of change, I recently received notice from my landlords that it’s time to say goodbye to The Tractor Shed. It was a bit of a shock, but since I’ve been spending so much time in the Cotswolds, it feels like the perfect opportunity to move my business to this beautiful part of the UK.

While I’m sad to leave behind the memories and hard work poured into The Tractor Shed, I’m genuinely excited about this new chapter. My new base will be in Braydon, Swindon, conveniently close to Cirencester. Like before, visits will be by appointment only, so you'll still have that personalised experience when you come to see furniture or browse paints. I will also continue to provide an online shop with postal service for paints, and a courier service for furniture.

I plan to have everything set up by the end of September. If you’d like to stop by, chat about your project, or simply check out the new space, just get in touch. I’m looking forward to seeing where this next step in the Cotswolds takes us!

MAKEOVER MAGIC - A PEEK AT MY LATEST PROJECTS

So far this year, I've had the joy of working on so many beautiful pieces, each with its own unique story and character. I wanted to share a few of them with you, as they all arrived looking a bit forlorn and in need of some serious TLC.

One project began with a pair of bedside drawers that had been separated from a dressing table. Another piece, the paisley drawers, was originally a small dressing table with an old mirror attached. Then there’s the vintage sideboard—once much-loved but clearly in need of a fresh start. I hope I’ve succeeded in giving new life to each of them.

Interestingly, they all ended up in different shades of blue, which seems to be a recurring theme lately. I’ve also enjoyed working with greens and oranges, but I’m still not a fan of white. Some things never change!

PAINT SALE

I still have a limited supply of Annabell Duke paint in stock, and now’s the perfect time to grab some with a 40% discount! Just use the code AD40 at checkout.

Head over to the website to explore the available colours. A quick note: a few of the pots might have some marks or a bit of mess on the outside, but rest assured, they’re completely unused and unopened.

Once they're gone, they're gone! And if you’re a Fusion fan, don’t worry—I’ll still be stocking the ever-popular Fusion Mineral Paints and products.

A TABLE TRANSFORMATION

I continue to love restyling tables! This particular piece made its journey from Australia to Somerset. It was quite a challenge to lighten it up, but I always welcome a good challenge.

My customer was thrilled with the transformation and even decided to purchase some of my paint to revamp her benches as well!

UPCYCLING WORKSHOPS IN THE COTSWOLDS

I’m excited to announce that I’m hosting upcycling workshops in the Cotswolds! I love inspiring and sharing my knowledge with aspiring upcyclists.

If you’d like to join a workshop, you’ll work on a small project that I’ll provide, using the same paints I use in my work. My goal is for you to leave feeling inspired and with more knowledge than when you arrived.

If you prefer a more personalised experience, consider a one-on-one session. You can bring in a piece of your own furniture, and I will guide you through the various stages of upcycling to achieve a professional-looking finish.

Don’t forget—there’s a 10% discount on all Fusion products purchased on workshop days!

LIFE OUTSIDE OF WORK

I’m never happier than when I’m surrounded by friends and loved ones, enjoying good food, wine, and music. Being by the coast is always a delightful bonus! ❤️

Happiest when I'm eating...

... and drinking.

Pink! A concert to remember.

Beautiful St Mawes.

A HEARTFELT THANK YOU!

Thank you, as always, for your continued interest, your thoughtful comments, and for sharing your photos and stories with me. As a small business, your support and messages mean the world to me, and I truly appreciate each and every one of you.

Wishing you a lovely autumn.
