Hi Everyone,
After a long winter, and the distant memory of spending four weeks in Australia earlier this year, I’m ready for some sunshine, and thankfully, it’s finally here! I’m not painting outside in my shorts just yet but hopefully, it’ll not be too long.
When I sat down to write this blog I thought I’d struggle with content (maybe because the weather's been so grim it has an impact) however, once I started looking back over the last couple of months I realised just how many nice things I’ve done. These are my best bits.
Move over Delboy & Rodney, there’s a new market trader in town. This time next year… :)
A stand out memory was taking my first pitch at an antiques market in Bath. I’ve wanted to try this for a while now and chose this market because it’s fairly close by and the gazebo’s are set up for your arrival.
I loved the day and meeting and chatting with the other stallholders, however, I chose Easter weekend and although it was busy with visitors, I didn’t get to meet as many of the locals as I would have liked, so I’ll be back! Maybe with some lighter, smaller pieces next time. Loading and unloading was quite a challenge for me on my own. Really good fun though.
Dates for your Diary
My open days this year will be Sunday 23rd July & Sunday 10th Sept. Things will be a little different and even better this time as I’ve teamed up with my neighbours who are opening their gardens to the public on the same days.
There will be special offers and sales prices on furniture, plant pots, home accessories and paint again, so come along if you get the chance, save money on some amazing pieces and be inspired!
Follow the links for more garden details.
Click below and let me know if you’re thinking of attending. Thank you.
Website Sale!
Check out the website for some special sale prices on some special pieces! This unique Aubergine dresser for example, has been reduced to £1480! Such good value for money for such a lovely, original piece.

So, what do you get if you cross an old pine cupboard, a pot of Fusion paint, some hessian and rope? An amazing, unique piece of furniture of course!

Latest Commissions
I really enjoyed working on these commission pieces. I will have chance to photograph each of the pieces in location at some point. For now though, I just wanted to share.
The colours for the drawers and benches were mixed to my customers specification using Fusion’s Highlander and Chocolate for the large drawers and benches, and Fusion’s Azure and Renfrew for the smaller chest. They work fabulously well in the settings in which they are to go.
The brief for the small coffee table was; something green, something quirky, something possibly with leaves to be located in a yurt. Other than that, it was left to me. My customer was thrilled with the table which her father-in-law had originally built (not much pressure!).
One of the nicest parts of my job is building a rapport with my customers, I get an understanding of them and what they like and they grow to trust me with their much loved pieces of furniture.
Preloved & Latest Finds
I’ve held off painting this beautiful pair of bedsides but happy to do so if you wish, to your specification. Details on the website.

Life Outside of Work
Those who know me well enough, you’ll know how much I love dancing and walking (as well as my work). So this month I decided to join the UK Ramblers and have been out on three fantastic walks already. It’s a great way to forget about everything else and just walk and talk with lovely people.
